Autograph for iPad
Email autographapp@icloud.com. One person reads it, and it is the same person who wrote the app, so a good bug report goes straight to someone who can fix it.
What helps most:
Autograph ships with a handbook covering every control and gesture: where the caret is, how to select more than one note, how to slur, how to write a second voice, what each button on the bottom bar does. It is kept up to date with the build rather than written once.
Open it from inside the app rather than looking for it here, so that what you read matches the version you are running.
There is no iPhone version and no Mac version, and none is planned for the first release. It needs iPadOS 17 or later.
A finger pans and zooms the page and edits what is already written; the Pencil is what writes. This is deliberate, and it is what stops your palm drawing on the score. Everything except handwriting can be done without a Pencil.
Autograph cannot write those formats back without losing detail it does not model, so it does not write them at all. You can read, play and export one exactly as normal. To change it, press Make a Copy to Edit above the score. The copy is an Autograph score and your original file is left untouched.
Autograph uses the iPad's own Files app. Scores live wherever you put them: on the iPad, in iCloud Drive, or in another cloud provider's folder. There is no account to make and nothing stored on a server belonging to me. See Privacy.
